From left: Lizzie (Mary Elizabeth) BUDDENHAGEN, later LONG (1867-1948), Isabelle (MIDDLETON) SMITH (b.1813), Isabella BUDDENHAGEN, later HARRIS (1871-1957), and Betsy (SMITH) BUDDENHAGEN (1838-1908), holding Betty CLOUGH, later NEELY (1883-1966).The notes were made by Martha LONG MIKSCH (1903-1983). She wrote on the back that the house was built in 1885, so the photo was probably taken to commemorate its completion. Betty was born in October of 1883 and went to live with her aunt Betsy some time probably in late 1885.
