Olof Andersson was the eleventh child of twelve born to Anders Jansson and his wife Cajsa (Catharina) Jansdotter, by that time living in Lia by, Näsby parish. Only six of the twelve children survived to adulthood; Olof was in fact the second Olof of the family, a first Olof having died in infancy.
1792-1796

Olof first appears in household examination records, here with his parents, Anders Jansson (1747- ) and Catharina Jansdotter (1755- ). Anders died of pneumonia in 1795 at the age of 48, leaving seven living children, the oldest eighteen years old and the youngest seven and a half months.
1796-1805

Olof appears here with his mother and surviving siblings in the household of his father's father, the widower Jan Andersson.
The note "fått [?] 6./.99." appears in Olof's entry and that of his next-oldest sibling, his sister Stina; Olof would have been about seven and Stina about ten at this time. It is not clear what this note means.
1806-Oct. 1809

Olof appears here with his oldest surviving brother, Anders Andersson (1776- ) and Anders's wife Greta Olsdotter, and their children. Also living with Anders were his mother and three surviving sisters. Their brother Jan had died in 1804 at the age of 21.
Olof was examined on the catechism here on 30 January 1807; the last notation is for communion in 1809, probably (the writing is faded and damaged) 8 October 1809.
A notation in Olof's entry reads, very faintly, "till p.57, 1809", leading to the following image in the same book.

Olof appears in the household of Petter Svensson, as "Dräng Olof Andersson", farmhand Olof Andersson. He is noted as having arrived here (in this household, presumably, since it was the same parish), "1809 1/10 [1 October]". He received communion here 10 December 1809, and was tested on the catechism on 8 January 1810.
A notation in his entry reads, "till p.43 1810 oct [?]", leading to the following image in the same book.

Olof appears in the household of an apparently unrelated Anders Andersson (1773- ), as "Dräng Olof Andersson", farmhand Olof Andersson. Note that there are in fact two Olof Anderssons in the household, one, born in 1784, a brother of the householder Anders Andersson.
Olof is noted as having come from "p.57" (the previous image here), although no date is given for his arrival. He received communion here 4 July 1811; possibly this is the only entry, but the bottom edge of the register is damaged and difficult to read.
A notation in his entry reads, faintly, "till Erwalla 18--" but the last two digits are impossible to read.
1811-1812

"Gos. Olof Anderson", the boy Olof Andersson, appears in the household of "Frälse Bonden Petter Olsson" of Halfbacken. (A frälsebond was a farmer who worked privately-owned land that was exempt from taxation.) Olof was examined on the catechism here on 29 January 1812, and received communion on 5 January (?) and 28 May.
(The marks for Olof here in his examinations are all but one graded "n", meaning that he could read "fairly well" and answer the various catechism questions.)
Olof is noted as having come from Näsby in 1811, and going to Sundtorp ("p. 196") in 1812, leading to the following image.
1812-Aug.? 1813

"Dräng Olof Andersson" appears in the household of Frälsebonden Olof Jansson of Sundtorp. Olof is noted as having come from "Halfbacken p.205" in 1812 (see the preceding image), and leaving for Näsby in 1813. He was examined on the catechism here on 29 January 1813, and received communion on 6 January and 8 August.
Hjeltmyra?
Olof Andersson Lindqvist is noted in the Näsby parish household examination book for 1816-1825 (AI:10; see below), as having come to Lia from Hjeltmyra (also in Näsby parish) in 1814, but he does not seem to appear in the Hjeltmyra enumeration for that period. It is certainly possible that he was there for so short a time that he missed the annual examinations.
May 1815
Marriage record, book E:1 (1758-1860), Ervalla parish, Örebro.
The marriage record of Olof Andersson of Lia to Maria (Maja) Larsdotter of Knattorp, Ervalla parish, took place 14 May 1815. He was 23, and she 32. Their child, Brita Olsdotter, was born a year and a half later, on 19 January 1817 in Lia.
(Note that a search of the Ervalla death register between 1811 and the end of 1816 do not show a previous child for Maria Larsdotter.)
Ervalla church, in a photograph from September 2011, almost certainly the church where Olof Andersson and Maria Larsdotter were married. Knattorp was about 5 and a half kilometers away.
The household examination record for Maria Olsdotter around this time, with her parents in Knattorp, Ervalla parish, notes that she was married and moved to Näsby in 1815.
1816-
Birth and christening record, book C:2 (1800-1826), Näsby parish, Örebro.
Brita would as it turned out be the only child of Olof Andersson and his wife Maria Larsdotter. The couple had returned to Lia and were, according to the following household examination record, living in the household of Jan Jansson Wessman, Olof as a farmhand. Apparently Brita's was an emergency or private baptism ("nöddop"), which would take place either if the child was not expected to live or if circumstances prevented the child being brought to the church; since it was January, it is possible that the weather kept them at home. Brita's sponsors were "Inhysesmannen Jan Andersson och Hru. Anna Lena Larsdotter, Knattorps ägor" the lodger/cottager Jan Andersson and his wife of Knattorp ägor (ägår = piece of land, field), "Drängen Olof Larsson : Pigan Stina Andersotter alla [? written over] i Knattorp", hired hand Olof Larsson and the unmarried girl Stina Andersdotter, all of Knattorp. Olof Larsson was most likely Maja Larsdotter's brother, and Stina Andersdotter may be Olof Andersson's sister, although she was according to household examination records living in Löfboda, Näsby parish at this time.

Olof Andersson Lindqvist appears with his wife Maria Larsdotter and daughter Brita Olsdotter, as part of the household of "Hn. Sk. Nämdeman u. Jan Jansson Wessman" (1781- ). Olof was noted as having arrived there in 1814 from Hjeltmyra (see above); he is located here in Lia certainly from 1816 to 1818, and for at least part of 1819 when he was examined on the catechism on 21 January; he next received communion on 11 January 1820, and was there in 1821 and at least until 11 February 1822, when he was examined on the catechism.
Notes in his entry read "till Fellsbro 1818, till Axberg 16/8 1820 22/4 [possibly 9] impos mentis till p. [?] 55 1821". "Impos. mentis" means "without sense/mind" (in Swedish "icke tillräknelig" or "utan förnuft/förstånd"). (See below for p.55.)
This is the only concrete evidence located so far that there was something wrong. The fact that Olof moved frequently may or may not be evidence that he was unstable, although it was certainly very unusual at the time for a wife to live apart from her husband.
Maria Larsdotter's record notes "till Ervalla 1818". She had returned with their young daughter to Knattorp to live with her brother Anders Larsson, his family, and their widowed mother.

Inflyttning (moving in) records for Fellingsbro parish, Örebro, do not begin until 1844.
Axberg parish, Örebro, 1820??
There are no inflyttning (moving in) records at all for Axberg parish. Olof does not seem to appear in the household examination book for 1815-1824 (AI:9).
Dec. 1820

Stina Andersdotter's marriage record notes, "Brudens Giftoman hennes ende Broder f. [? crossed out?] d. Skattebonden Olof Andersson Lindqvist i Lia", the bride's sponsor (was) her only brother, farmer Olof Andersson Lindqvist of Lia, "jemte Förmyndaren Eric Nilsson i Lia Skattebonde", along with the guardian Eric Nilsson. (A skattebond was a farmer who worked privately-owned land that was subject to taxation.) Olof was now 28. Stina's and Olof's eldest brother Anders Andersson had died two years earlier, at the age of 42.
Note that Olof Andersson Lindqvist does not seem to have been recorded in Lia until October 1821 (see following image).

"Dräng Gifte Mannen Olof And.son Lindqvist", farmhand the married man Olof Andersson Lindqvist, appears in the household of Petter Andersson and his family. He is noted as having married in 1815, arrived here (in this household?) Oct. 1821, referring to p.60 (see above, the household of Jan Jansson Wessman in Lia Södra Gård).
A notation reads "NB [?] har sin hru. i Knattorp Ervalla sn. till [?] Medåker 1822 oct. [?]", that his wife is in Knattorp, Ervalla parish and that he went to Medåker in 1822.
Oct.? 1822-Sep. 1823

"Gifte Dräng Olof Andersson", married farmhand Olof Andersson of Näsby was recorded in the household of --bonden, later Inhysesmannen Anders Andersson, --farmer, later tenant/lodger. (Anders Andersson died during this period, and his titles are crossed out making the first difficult to read.)
Olof Andersson is noted as having come from Näsby in 1822, and leaving for there in 1823. He was examined on the catechism on 28 September 1823, and received communion on 16 February and 7 September in the same year. Medåker inflyttning (moving in) records do not begin until 1829 and so it cannot be said for certain the exact dates on which he arrived and left, but these dates are fairly consistent with his arrival in Löfboda in November 1823, as given in the following household examination record.

"Dräng Gifte Olof And.son Lindqvist", farmhand the married Olof Andersson Lindqvist, appears in the household of Maria Ersdotter, the widow of Abraham Larsson in Löfboda. Olof had arrived there in November of 1823 from Medåker. Olof was recorded here only in 1824.
A note at the end of his entry reads "NB hru i Ervalla Knattorp", that his wife was in Knattorp, Ervalla parish, and "till p.28 1824 oct", leading to the following image.
Nov. 1824-Oct. 1825

Olof Andersson Lindqvist appears in the household of his brother-in-law Jan Persson, husband of Olof's sister Cathrina. Olof is listed as "Gifte Dräng Olof And.son Lindqvist", married farmhand, and is noted as having arrived there in November of 1824. He was examined on the catechism on 10 February, and took communion there on 6 January and 7 August 1825.
Also living here was Olof and Cathrina's sister Stina, who was married to Jan Persson's brother Jonas Persson.
Again, the note appears, "NB har sin Hru i Knattorp Ervalla", and at the end "till pag. 48 1825, oct", leading to the following entry.

"Dräng Olof Andersson Lindqvist", farmhand Olof Andersson Lindqvist, appears in the household of Jan Jansson Wessman (1747- ). Although Olof is not called "Gifte Dräng" here, he is noted as having been married in May 1815, and "har sin Hru. i Knattorp Ervalla", has his wife in Knattorp. Olof had arrived here in October 1825, from the above entry (p.28). He received communion here on 18 December.
Jan. 1826-Oct. 1827

"Gift Dräng Olof Andersson Lindqvist", married farmhand Olof Andersson Lindqvist, appears in the household of widower Jan Jansson Wessman (1747-1831), apparently the father of the Jan Jansson Wessman (1781- ) in whose household Olof was listed in 1816-1822 (see above). Olof is noted as having married in 1815, and arrived here in 1825 from Löfboda. He received communion and was examined on catechism in both 1826 and 1827.
A notation reads "har sin hru i Kattorp [sic] Erwalla", that his wife was in Knattorp, Ervalla parish, and "till Stockholm 1827 oct. [?]", that he went to Stockholm in 1827, possibly in October.
"Nat. kr" means that he had had smallpox as a child.
A note on Maria Larsdotter's record in the Ervalla parish household examination book (AI:9, 1826-1835) says that she had come from Lia in 1821, adding "obs. [?] hennes Man Ol. Lindqvist, tjenste dräng i Lia Näsby", her husband Olof Lindqvist is a hired man in Lia. Olof does not appear to be recorded in Lia during this period.
Stockholm?
Without knowing which parish in Stockholm Olof went to, it is nearly impossible to find him after this. There are no utflyttning (moving out) records from Näsby parish to give any indication.
In the 1836-1846 (AI:10) household examination book, Maja Larsdotter, living with her brother Anders Larsson and his family, is noted as "Lindqvists hustru, Maja Larsdotter" with "hustru" (wife) later crossed out and "Enka" (widow) substituted. A note on her entry reads, "Mannen vistig [??] i Näsby" then "död". Although the notation "död" in this column elsewhere on the page refers to the person in that line, here it seems odd, as Maja did not die until 1854, some years after the entries in this book; but since she is referred to as "enka" it must indicate that Olof Andersson Lindqvist was either known or assumed to have died at some point between 1836 and 1846.
Was Olof Andersson Lindqvist back in Näsby parish?
In the 1846-1856 (AI:11) household examination book, Maja Larsdotter, still living with her brother Anders Larsson and his family, is called "Lindqvists Enka", Lindqvist's widow.
When Maria Larsdotter died in Knattorp in 1854, she was called "Enkan Maja Larsdr" the widow Maja Larsdotter; she was noted as having been married to "Hemmanseg. Lindqvist i Näsby", farm-owner Lindqvist, although there is no indication at all in the records that Olof Andersson Lindqvist ever owned a farm.
