The Arthur Smith home

The Arthur SMITH home in Ladore Tp., Neosho Co., Kansas, probably around 1910. The older woman is probably "Aunt Sallie", Sarah (LYTLE) SMITH (1847-1931?). The younger children are her husband's great-nieces and -nephew Louise (1900-1978), Martha (1903-1983), and Charlie LONG (1905-1987). The other people are unidentified.

John Wilson?
George Graham family?
Possibly the George GRAHAM family. Ida WILSON (b.Feb. 1879) was the daughter of Frank WILSON (b.1852) and Ann (SMITH) WILSON (b.1858). Martha (LONG) MIKSCH noted on the back of this photo, "Ida Wilson Graham daughter Genise & George -- Ida cousin of Mary E. Long", but added underneath "maybe?"

Ella? Mallory

A paper wrapped around this photograph identifies her as "Ella MALLORY, sister of Birdie BURKE". Birdie MALLORY BURKE (1860-1899) had at least one sister, as well as five half-sisters, although none found so far were named Ella. Her dress appears to be in the mid-1880s style, and the photographer Clarence Deane had a studio at 117 1/2 Broadway in Hannibal from 1879 to 1884, but other than this the photo cannot yet be dated or identified with any certainty.
Photo in the collection of J. Smith.
